The European Association for Industrialised Construction’s, IC-Europe, President Mr. Pat Kirwan and Vice-president Mr. Pierre Bruneau conducted a high-level series of institutional meetings in Brussels to advance European industrialised construction.
The delegation met with representatives from DG GROW, the European Commission’s Housing Cabinet, and the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE). Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration and aligning offsite prefabrication with broader European housing and climate strategies.
The meetings provided a constructive platform to outline procedural steps for standardisation, discuss technical requirements, and explore pathways to accelerate cross-border modular deployment.
By engaging directly with key decision-makers and architectural leaders, IC-Europe continues to advocate for a unified technical framework across the Single Market, ensuring modern methods of construction remain central to solving Europe’s housing challenge.
