IC-Europe advances offsite construction with EOTA

The European Association for Industrialised Construction (IC-Europe) held its strategic Board of Directors meeting in Brussels on Wednesday, 24th June. This crucial encounter marks a significant step forward in our mission to drive building industrialisation across the continent. Our team is focused on accelerating the adoption of offsite technologies to tackle Europe’s current housing challenges, among others.

This productive day commenced with a high-profile meeting with the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA). Held generously at EOTA’s headquarters, the session served to discuss technical allignment and European standardisation. This institutional collaboration is essential to foster long-term nnovation and technical excellence in the modern construction sector.

This high-level gathering brought together key stakeholders, industry experts, and representatives from leading European organisations. The attendees included EOTA’s president Thomas Brunn, along with Technical Board Chair María Bento, Secretary General Sergio Vázquez and Project manager Carlos Sánchez.

From IC-Europe attended the meeting some of our founding members and partners such as Mr. Pat Kirwan (in representation of MCC Ireland), Mr. Pierre Bruneau (in representation of ACIM); Mr. José Antonio Tenorio (in representation of Instituto de Ciencias de la Construcción Eduardo Torroja); Mr. Benjamin Camps and Mr. Raphael Bruns (in representation of the Center Building and Infraestructure Engineering); Mr. Aleksi Hillman (in representation of ADAPTEO) and Mr. Thomas Miorin (in representation of EDERA).

From the IC-Europe Secretariat attended Secretary General, Mr. José Blanco and Association Manager, Mrs. Rocío Avi. Together, the reinforced the diverse, paneuropean identity that defines the Association’s collaborative work.
