The European Association for Industrialised Construction (IC-Europe) hosted dedicated presentation by Construct Innovate during its Dublin Board. Held at the Irish Architectural Archive, the session featured Mr. Daniel McCrum, who outlined the research centre’s core strategic pillars. The encounter strengthened knowledge-sharing between European industry leaders and academic research hubs.
During his intervention, McCrum detailed the key focus areas designed to transform the built environment. These priorities include the development and roll-out of procurement approaches to enable Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), alongside updating regulations and standards. Additionally, the road map addresses capital, finance, and insurance frameworks to support industrialised building projects.
The presentation also highlighted essential operational pillars such as MMC skills developments, industry competitiveness, and capacity growth. Effective policy execution and transparent communication were emphasised as critical drivers for widespread market adoption. Aligning these strategic areas ensures that offsite technologies can scale efficiently to meet European infrastructure goals.
